Carnival

The Calabar Carnival is the biggest street party in the whole of Africa. For 2 days, 100,000 costumed people join together in a feat of revelry, drama, dance and music: and over a million people from Nigeria and around the world come to watch and soak up the unique atmosphere of this amazing event.

Obudu Race

The Obudu Mountain Race has been run annually since 2005 and is a challenging 11km uphill running event to an altitude of 1757 metres, that is endorsed by the World Mountain Running Association. It is now a major international event.

There are mens and womens races and a childrens novelty race. The whole event showcases the amazing beauty of the Obudu Mountain Resort.

The Carnival and the Mountain Race both enhance Cross River State as a magnet for tourism and thus provide revenue for the region as well as being popular with local people. Combination Industries is keen to play its part in promoting these beneficial developments.
